Shed the right light on your work!

A lot of Dutch Palmberg specialist dealers and other guests followed this motto on 28th February 2012. Many companies still underestimate the importance of an effective lighting of workplaces and buildings. The proper light supports work in offices and conference rooms, facilitates concentration and improves motivation. The quality of office lighting is deciding on how exactly and quickly shapes, details and colours can be recognised. Bad lighting may lead to unfavourable strain on the eyes. Furthermore, lighting also influences the activity and well-being of the staff and thus has impacts on their efficiency and commitment.

The way light managing systems can ensure ideal light conditions was presented at the light seminar in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, performed in cooperation of the two companies Palmberg und Jac Mulders elektrotechniek bv. Uniform lighting conditions do not meet the special needs of all employees. Therefore, light should always be individually adjustable to the relevant requirements. Whether open-plan or individual, offices are in need of more than just light. They require creative lighting solutions that are inspiring, increasing the well-being and that are preserving resources. Accordingly, the seminar participants were focused on the topics of LED lighting novelties, sensor-controlled lighting as well as the proper use of light systems in the office.

For example, the light output is automatically adapted to the intensity of daylight by using sensor-controlled light sources. Also in office buildings LED solutions are becoming more and more important and increasingly replace conventional lighting technologies. In the past, illuminating coloured LEDs were usually only used to prettify the rooms. Today, energy-efficient white LEDs open up revolutionary new applications. They are not only aesthetic and completely controllable, but also characterised by a long working life and low maintenance. In conclusion, whenever establishing a workplace, the right office lighting is as important as the furniture.
